An alert has been issued by the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal following an incident that was reported at approximately 4:10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21 in Wicomico County at the Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses on Parker Road in Salisbury.
The fire was discovered by members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses staff, though it burned itself out before first responders were required to answer at the scene.
Officials say that the preliminary cause of the fire determined that it was incendiary - or intentionally set - near the exterior rear door of the building.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation into the fire is ongoing, though the fire marshal released a photo (viewed above) of a suspect vehicle that was spotted in the area at the time the fire was reported.
